City of Arcadia - Seasonal Aquatic Center Positions

The City of Arcadia seeks qualified applicants for the following:

Aquatic Center Manager. This position is seasonal from May-August, up to 40 hours per week. The position provides direction and supervision for part-time, seasonal staff for lifeguards and concession staff and overall pool operations. Requirements include having a high school diploma or GED, the ability to obtain a Food Handling License Certification and ability to become First Aid, AED and CPR certified (city will provide training). Becoming a certified lifeguard is preferred, but not required. The ability to manage youth and promote a positive environment for staff and the public is a must. Pay rate is $25 per hour, with no other benefits. If hired, employees will be subject to a background check and pre-employment drug & alcohol screen.

Certified Lifeguards work seasonally from June to August. The city will offer flexible scheduling options and offers a competitive wage of $13 for first year lifeguards, $15 for returning lifeguards, and $17 per hour for supervisors, with guaranteed pool closure pay. City will pay for lifeguard class/recertification class for employees.

Concession Stand/Admission Workers work seasonally from June to August. The city will offer flexible scheduling options and offers a competitive wage of $10 for first year, and $12 for returning employees, with guaranteed pool closure pay.
